The problem may sound familiar to some parents: film star Matthias Schweighöfer feels exposed to his daughter's critical eye when it comes to fashion issues. "She doesn't take me seriously anymore," he said in an interview with the dpa news agency.

Recently, for example, he had a conversation with his 15-year-old daughter Greta about trousers. When he "proudly" presented his skinny jeans, his daughter called him "old," the 42-year-old reported. I haven't worn skinny jeans since."

He also had no success with jewelry: His girlfriend Ruby O. Fee (27) recommended clip earrings to him. "My daughter looked at me and said, 'Dad, I'm keeping a low profile,' and went to her room."

The 42-year-old ("Rubbeldiekatz", "Oppenheimer") plays the role of the producer of the band Milli Vanilli, Frank Farian, in the new film »Girl You Know It's True« (film release on 21 December) by director Simon Verhoeven. The film tells the story of what is probably one of the biggest cheating scandals in music history: In the early <>s, it became known that the musicians had never sung their hits such as "Girl I'm going to Miss You" themselves.
