Emergency services at the scene of the crime in Hagen

In Hagen, North Rhine-Westphalia, two 40-year-old men were seriously injured by gunfire in the afternoon. According to current investigative findings, several men had previously gotten into a dispute on the street, the public prosecutor's office and the Hagen police announced in the evening.

From the group of people, two of the participants were shot several times in an escalation of the dispute. The perpetrators may have fled in a vehicle. They are still being searched for. A homicide squad is investigating the case.

According to initial information from the police, the shots were fired near a playground in Hagen. Emergency services found the two injured men lying on the street. They were taken to clinics. Extensive search measures were initially unsuccessful. The background to the disputes is still unknown. The homicide squad is looking for witnesses who witnessed the crime or who saw two fleeing people.
