The Tourism Development Department of the Tibet Autonomous Region said at the promotion meeting that during the "Winter Tour to Tibet" activity (November 12, 2 to March 2023, 11), all A-level scenic spots in the Tibet Autonomous Region (including the Potala Palace) will be free to visit, except for the temple scenic spots; Three-star and above hotels, restaurants, international brands, and boutique hotels are subject to off-season rates.

On the same day, the Tourism Development Department of Tibet Autonomous Region introduced the winter tourism resources and related products of Tibet Autonomous Region with the theme of "Blue Sky, White Clouds, Great Sun, New Atmosphere of Snow Mountains and Lakes", including Lhasa, Shigatse, Shannan, Nyingchi, Qamdo, Nagqu and Ali and other 7 cities (prefectures) in winter, involving lakes (Yangzhuo Yongcuo, Pumo Yongcuo, Mapanyongcuo, Namtso), snow-capped mountains (Mount Everest, Kailash, Nanga Bhava), glaciers (Laigu Glacier, Gongga Ice Cave, Midui Glacier), etc.

For example, Namtso is located between Dangxiong County and Bangor County of Nagqu City, north of Lhasa, about 240 kilometers from Lhasa, and is the second largest inland lake in Tibet.
