• Dior Spring-Summer 2024 Show: Maria Grazia Chiuri's Rebellious and Powerful Women Wear Black and White (and Flats)
  • Dior Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2023 Show: Joy, Roaring 20s Are Back!

There must be something about the solemn mountains of the Alps that, since historical times, have fascinated artists of the pen, the brush and, today, also the pixel, captivated by the contemplation of their icy and wild nature, which invites refuge and escapism from the ordinary.

That magnetism intensifies during the winter, when the snows dress the silhouettes of the mountains in white with their thick mantle. This winter spectacle has also inspired Maria Grazia Chiuri's latest creation. Coinciding with the start of the new ski season, Dior's creative director has launched, for the third year in a row, a new capsule collection dedicated to the jet-set's favourite winter sport, which literally represents "an ode to escape and the magic of the mountains".

For skiing and après-ski

With this focus of attraction, the new DiorAlps line represents an approach to ski fashion and also après-ski, because it challenges the technical conventions of this type of clothing and brings a touch of luxury to give life to an exclusive wardrobe that reinvents itself and is nourished in turn by the badges exhibited in the latest Dior shows.

The magical touch extends to everything the French maison creates. Also to the glamorous alpine ski slopes of Courchevel, St. Moritz, Kitzbühel or Cortina d'Ampezzo. Thus, the jumpsuits or down jackets together with the matching trousers that make up the perfect outfit condense all its artistic expression.

Pure Dior

If the emphasis is on detail, some must-haves are embellished with the unmistakable Dior Oblique motif and the new design of the Plan de Paris print, an enchanting print inspired by the streets of the French capital that shows all the indispensable enclaves in a hypnotic play of shadows and perspectives.

Other essentials such as quilted vests, unmistakable snow boots and various accessories such as blizzard goggles, hats and balaclavas are presented in a colour palette from deep blue, cream and anthracite grey to vibrant red, not forgetting white in all its purity and brilliance.

Technique & Design

The DiorAlps collection is also a statement of technical innovation. Water-resistant fabrics ensure elegance isn't compromised by inclement weather, while details such as knee reinforcements ensure comfort and functionality without sacrificing glamour for the court, off-piste and post-court.
