• Daddy Yankee's wife shows the crisis of their marriage: "It's not about who's good to your face but loyal behind your back"

Reggaeton singer Daddy Yankee has announced, in a concert in San Juan (Puerto Rico), that he is definitively retiring from music to dedicate himself to living for Christ.

"My people, this day for me is the most important day of my life. And I want to share them with you, because it's not the same to live a life of success as a life with purpose," Daddy Yankee began by saying after finishing his show at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.

The urban music singer has taken advantage of his latest concert in his homeland to convey to his fans and "the whole world" that he is not ashamed and that Christ lives in him. "Christ lives in me and I will live for him. This is the end of a chapter and the beginning of a whole new one," he posted on his Instagram profile along with the video pronouncing these words.

"What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, if he loses his life? Or how much will man be able to pay for his life? For the Son of Man is coming with the glory of his Father and with his angels, and then he will reward each one according to what he has done. Matthew 16:26-27. Amen," he added in the post.

"I was able to travel the world for years, win many awards, applause and praise, but I realized something that the Bible says: 'What does it profit a man to gain the whole world if he loses his soul?' That is why, tonight, I recognize and am not ashamed to tell the whole world that Jesus lives in me and that I will live for him," he confessed.
