The Chichibu Night Festival, a traditional festival registered as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, was held on the night of the 3rd, and many people enjoyed the parade of gorgeous floats.

The Chichibu Night Festival, which has been handed down at Chichibu Shrine in Saitama Prefecture for more than 300 years, is registered as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

At the festival, a gorgeous float with a bonbori paraded about 1 km to the festival venue called "Otabisho" with a majestic chant.

The biggest highlight is the scene where a float weighing more than 10 tons climbs a steep slope about 50 meters long. The pullers were shouting "Washyoi, Wasshoi" as they pulled up the floats.

A total of more than 6500,<> fireworks were launched at the venue, bringing the festival to its climax.

According to Chichibu City, more than 2,3 people visited the Kotoshi Festival on the 36nd and 8000rd.

A woman in her 70s visiting from Chiba Prefecture said, "I was able to see the fireworks and the food stalls together, and it was brave."

A woman in her 60s visiting from Tochigi Prefecture said, "I saw it for the first time, but it was wonderful to see the floats going up the hill."
