With the theme of "China's New Achievements in a Century of Changes - Expanding the Convergence of Interests and Building a Community with a Shared Future", the conference was attended by politicians, scholars, entrepreneurs, foreign envoys in China, representatives of international organizations and multinational companies from more than 30 countries and regions, and held dialogues with relevant Chinese ministries and local leaders, scholars and entrepreneurs to discuss and exchange Chinese modernization and the modern civilization of the Chinese nation, and the construction of a world-class Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Former Ethiopian President Muratu said that in the past ten years, the Belt and Road Initiative has moved from China's initiative to international practice, from concept to action, from vision to reality, and from the "freehand" of planning the layout to the "fine brushwork" of intensive cultivation. The Belt and Road Initiative has brought tangible benefits to relevant countries, including Ethiopia. In Africa, the Jakarta-Djibouti Railway and the Mombasa-Nairobi Railway have been put into operation, becoming an important channel for the development of East Africa and even the whole of Africa.
Zheng Bijian, founding president of the China National Founding Association, believes that at the beginning of the establishment of the "Understanding China" international conference, it adhered to three "understandings", which are "understanding China", "understanding the world" and "understanding the changes in a century". If this international conference can help the world better understand China, and at the same time help China better understand the world and the changes in a century, then we will be able to make sustained efforts to reduce the "reading deficit".
Huang Qifan, executive vice chairman of the Academic Committee of the China National Innovation Association, believes that with China's promotion of manufacturing transformation and upgrading and high-quality trade development for more than ten years, the country's position in the global industrial division of labor has been continuously improved, and the trend of high-end exports and high added value is obvious.
