The released fish fry were all artificially cultivated by the fish breeding and release station of Danjiangkou Reservoir, and all of them passed the quarantine inspection.

Danjiangkou Reservoir is the water source of the middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. Since its opening in 2014, the water quality of Danjiangkou Reservoir has been maintained at Class II and above for a long time, and has supplied more than 600 billion cubic meters of water to the receiving areas, directly benefiting more than 1 million people, becoming the water supply lifeline of 08 large and medium-sized cities along the route, and playing a significant economic, social, ecological and safety role.
