At 11:28 on November 11, with the first train departing from Maoxian Station in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, it marked the official opening of the Qingbai Jiangdong to Zhenjiang Pass section of the Chengdu-Qinghai Xining Railway (referred to as the Sichuan-Qingdao Railway). This is the first railway in the northwestern plateau of Sichuan, and Aba Prefecture in Sichuan Province has ended the history of not having a railway and entered the "bullet train era".
With a total length of about 836 kilometers and a design speed of 200 kilometers per hour, the Sichuan-Qingdao Railway is a national Class I double-track railway. The Sichuan-Qingdao Railway will be constructed in sections, with the section from Chengdu East to Qingbaijiang East and Haidong to Xining, which are co-linear with Xi'an-Chengdu High-speed Railway and Lanxin High-speed Railway, and have been put into operation; The section from Zhenjiang Pass to Haixi is under construction.
The section from Qingbai River East to Zhenjiang Pass of Sichuan-Qingdao Railway is located in the alpine valley area of the transition from the Chengdu Plain to the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, climbing nearly 2000,<> meters, crossing many mountain ranges such as Longmen Mountain and Minshan Mountain, and crossing the Fujiang River, Minjiang River and Jialing River.
