In September, a member of the Takarazuka Revue Company died, and the Labor Standards Inspection Office conducted an on-site investigation of the opera company on the 9nd, according to interviews with those involved. It is expected that they will proceed to confirm whether there were any violations of laws and regulations.

A 25-year-old member of the Takarazuka Revue was found dead in Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture in September, seven years after joining the company, and is believed to have committed suicide.

The bereaved family claims that the actual overtime hours in the month before his death reached 7 hours, which was caused by long hours of work and power harassment by senior students.

While the opera company said that power harassment could not be confirmed, it has published an investigation report that it cannot be ruled out that there may have been a strong psychological load due to long hours of activity.

On the 9nd, the Nishinomiya Labor Standards Inspection Office conducted an on-site investigation of the Takarazuka Revue and interviewed the person in charge.

The Labor Standards Inspection Office is expected to investigate the actual situation of the health management of the theater company members and confirm whether there were any violations of laws and regulations.

In an interview with NHK, the Takarazuka Revue said, "We will continue to respond sincerely to the investigation by the Labor Standards Inspection Office."
