Large-scale construction of JR Shibuya Station due to the redevelopment of Shibuya continues on the 19th.
As a result, the Yamanote Line will be suspended all day on the 19th, and the inner loop between Ikebukuro and Osaki will be reduced, and other sections will also be reduced, so JR is calling for the use of the Saikyo Line, which runs in parallel with the suspended section.

Along with the redevelopment of Shibuya, which is said to be "once in 100 years", improvement work is also underway at JR Shibuya Station, and from the 1th, advance work is being done to renovate the passage on the first floor connecting the east and west of the station.

Specifically, in the construction of shifting the tracks and platforms of the Yamanote Line up to 18 cm, at the site opened to the public on the 1th, gravel was pushed under the sleepers with heavy machinery to raise the tracks, and timber was piled up on the platform to raise it.

On the 20th, construction work was carried out on the outer side, and on the 18th, construction was carried out on the inner side.

As a result, on the 18th, the inner loop of the Yamanote Line will be suspended between Ikebukuro Station and Osaki Station all day
, and the remaining section will be reduced to about every 19 minutes,
which is about 19% to 3% of the normal interval, and the outer loop will also be reduced to about every 4 minutes, which is about 10% of the usual interval between Osaki Station and
Ikebukuro Station.

On the 7th, the number of flights on the Saikyo Line, which runs parallel to the suspended section, will be increased, and transfer transportation will be carried out by the Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway,

so
JR East Japan is calling for the use of these lines.
