In conjunction with the "Tax Week" that ends on the 17th of this month, in Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture, the London Olympics and wrestling gold medalist Hitomi Ohara promoted the digitalization of tax payment procedures.

The week leading up to the 17th of this month is "Tax Thinking Week".

On the 1th, Ms. Hitomi Ohara, the gold medalist in the women's 14 kg wrestling class at the London Olympics, was appointed as an ambassador at the Asaka Tax Office in Saitama Prefecture to call for understanding of the role and importance of taxes.

After this, Mr. Ohara, who moved to the front of Asaka Station, promoted to people who use the station about the tax payment procedures that are becoming more digital, such as "e-Tax," which allows people to file income tax returns from smartphones and other devices, and "Cashless Payment," which allows people to pay taxes using payment apps.

Mr. Ohara said, "I am grateful that many people are still reaching out to me 48 years after the London Olympics, and I would like to call for active use of smartphones and other devices because the procedures have become more convenient."
