In October, in the trial of the murder of a couple in their 10s and the arson of their house in Kofu City, the defendant, who was 50 years old at the time, was asked by his lawyer why he did not answer various questions.

The defendant, 19-year-old Yuki Endo, who attended a part-time high school in Kofu City and was 21 years old at the time, is accused of murder, arson and other crimes for breaking into a house in the city where a woman he had a liking for in October lived, killing the woman's parents in their 10s and burning down the house.

In the trial held at the Kofu District Court, the defendant was questioned on the 50th and 13th.

At the hearing on the 14th, the defendant did not answer the lawyer's questions at all, but on the 13th, when the lawyer asked, "Can you tell me why you are not talking?" he spoke for the first time in this trial and said, "Because I have no intention of returning to society."

When asked, "Is there anything else you would like to talk about besides the question you just asked?" he replied, "Nothing in particular."

Subsequently, the prosecutor asked, "Can you explain in detail that you do not intend to return to society?" to which the defendant said, "I don't want to answer."

At the hearing on the 14th, the defendant did not answer most of the questions, but there were times when he answered questions after confirming the contents of the question.
