Also in the news: 2 days before the presidential election, Madagascar is plunged into a deep electoral crisis. Street demonstrations against the holding of the election are almost daily and regularly turn into clashes with the security forces. Many civil society organizations, political parties, united in a platform of dialogue and mediation are calling for the suspension of an illegitimate and unjust electoral process that would favor the outgoing president Andry Rajoelina. So much so that many observers are wondering if the election will take place on Thursday 16 November.

In Congo, President Felix Tshisekedi delivered his annual address to the nation before both houses of parliament in Congress. A speech that takes on the air of a campaign since it is delivered a few days before the official launch of the electoral campaign. On this occasion, the Head of State reviewed the achievements of his five-year term in all sectors of the country (education, health, environment) but above all he denounced once again "Rwandan aggression" and launched an appeal to vote for the elections announced by the CENI on 20 December.
