Our fellow Palestinian journalist Rami Abu Jammous sent us the images he filmed himself, with his mobile phone, of his flight from Gaza City to Rafah, in the south of the Palestinian enclave.

Rami Abu Jammous said his neighbourhood, located near Gaza's Al-Shifa hospital, was the target of what he said was particularly intense shelling on Friday night. The next morning, he and his neighbors received an order from the Israeli army to evacuate, with instructions to raise a white flag.

Rami Abu Jammous gathered his neighbors to flee to the southern Gaza Strip. He carries his 4-year-old son, whom he talks to from time to time to try to reassure him. His wife is also part of the group.

It is the voice of our confrere that you will hear, above his images. Be careful, because they can be shocking.
