Two years later, in 2, Japan will host the Deaflympics, the first international sports competition for people with hearing impairments. To commemorate this, a café that uses digital technology to talk to people regardless of whether they are deaf or deaf will open for a limited time in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo from the 2025th.

The café that will open in Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, will be set up by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government for a limited time from 2 to 2025 this month to commemorate the Deaflympics, the first international sports competition for people with hearing impairments in Japan, to be held in 15, two years from now.

On the 26th, a ceremony was held to commemorate the opening, and Governor Koike said, "I hope that people will understand more about hearing impairment and the Deaflympics through the experience of digital technology."

In the café, 14 of the approximately 20 clerks are deaf.

For this reason, when serving customers, we utilize digital technology that can convert audio into text and display it on a transparent display, or display characters typed using a keyboard.

In addition, music is playing in the store, but there is also a device that vibrates when it recognizes sound, so both hearing and hearing people can enjoy the atmosphere of the store together.

Ryo Manya, manager of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Bureau of Lifestyle, Culture and Sports, said, "I hope that everyone will experience new forms of communication using digital devices."
