About two weeks after the sudden death of actor Matthew Perry, who became world-famous in the role of Chandler Bing in the series »Friends«, his series colleague Matt LeBlanc has also publicly said goodbye to him. He does so "with a heavy heart," the actor, who portrayed Joey Tribbiani in the series, wrote on Instagram. The times we had together are truly some of the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to be able to call you a friend. I will always smile when I think of you, and I will never forget you."

Courteney Cox, who married Monica Geller Chandler in the series, also posted her memory of Matthew Perry on Instagram on Tuesday. She said she was "so grateful for every moment" she had with Perry. When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments that I wish I could share." She then described a small scene with Perry and also showed it on Instagram in a short video: "Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one-night stand in London. But due to the audience's reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In this scene, before we started shooting, he whispered a funny phrase to me that I was supposed to say. He did that a lot. He was funny and nice."

Perry was found dead in a hot tub at his home in Los Angeles at the end of October at the age of 54. Details on the cause of death were not immediately available.

In the series »Friends« about six young friends in New York, the Canadian-American actor starred alongside Cox and LeBlanc as well as Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer. The show was produced in the USA from 1994 to 2004 and became a television cult in dozens of countries. Together, Perry's colleagues had issued a statement just a few days after his death, calling it an "incomprehensible loss."
