Qinghai Guinan Mangqu National Wetland Park is located in the middle and upper reaches of the Mangla River in the south of Guinan County, including the source of the Mangla River to the lower reaches of the Dulan and Dabu River reservoirs. The wetland area is 3031.73 hectares, mainly river wetlands and swamp wetlands, with a wetland rate of 62.83%.

According to reports, at present, there are 114 species of birds in the Guinan Mangqu National Wetland Park, belonging to 17 orders and 35 families, accounting for 15.04% of the bird composition of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Among them, there were 35 species of waterbirds, belonging to 6 orders and 8 families, accounting for 30.70% of the total species. There are 15 species of birds of prey, belonging to 3 orders and 3 families, accounting for 13.16% of the total number of species, and 29 species of birds were recorded for the first time compared with the survey record of the previous year, which updated and supplemented the bird resource data of the wetland park. The newly recorded birds are golden plovers, ant eagles, fishing gulls, bearded vultures, etc.

In order to effectively promote the publicity and education work of the National Wetland Park, enhance the publicity and education ability of the wetland park management department on wetland resources and the importance of wetland protection, and improve the participation of the public, in 2023, Guinan Mangqu National Wetland Park also invited professionals from Qinghai Normal University and Qinghai Duomei Ecological Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. to give lectures on wetland protection methods, common birds and plants and identification methods for the management and community personnel of Moqugou Forest Farm in Guinan County and Jubu Forest Farm in Guinan County. The purpose is to enhance the sense of responsibility and urgency of rangers, ensure that rangers can play an active role in protecting forest and grass resources, and make positive contributions to the effective protection of wetland ecosystems and the construction of ecological civilization.
