US musician Taylor Swift (33) has set another record at the music streaming market leader Spotify. "She's done it again," the company wrote on Saturday (local time) on the online platform X (formerly Twitter) – because on October 27, Swift became the most-streamed artist within one day in Spotify's history. In addition, their new album »1989 (Taylor's Version)« has become the most streamed album on a single day in the current year.

In doing so, Swift surpassed her record set in 2022. In October last year, her album »Midnights« was streamed more often within a day than any previous album, according to Spotify.

"1989 (Taylor's Version)," a re-recording of Swift's 1989 album "2014," was released Friday. After a dispute over the music rights to her earlier albums, Swift had announced in 2019 that she wanted to re-record her old music as »Taylor's Version«. Since then, she has already released the albums »Fearless« (2009, 2021), »Red« (2012, 2021) and »Speak Now« (2010, 2023).

Favorite at this year's Billboard Music Awards

The reissues usually include several so-called "From The Vault" songs that didn't make it onto the original album at the time. 1989 (Taylor's Version)« contains five previously unreleased songs in addition to the 13 original songs.

The singer has been touring the world since March. The European leg is scheduled to start in Paris in May 2024. In July next year, she also wants to be on stage in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich.

With 20 chances to win, Swift is also the favorite for this year's Billboard Music Awards. The 33-year-old was nominated in the categories Top Artist, Top Female Artist and Top Country Artist, among others.
