The leaders of the rating in terms of the beauty of the regions in the autumn were St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

In the city, you can go to museums, go on rooftop tours, parks, or go away from the crowded center - to Peterhof, Tsarskoye Selo or Gatchina.

In the Leningrad Region, experts advise paying attention to eco-trails and fortresses - Koporye, Oreshek, Yam and Staraya Ladoga.

The second place in the top went to the Altai Republic.

"We definitely advise you to visit Lake Teletskoye. Also, don't forget about the Karakol and Multinsky lakes with clear water, the Martian Valley and the confluence of the Chuya and Katun rivers," the service representatives recommend.

The top three leaders of the rating are closed by the Irkutsk region.

Autumn is a great time to come to Lake Baikal, experts say. It is worth visiting the Shaman Stone Rock, the Baikal Museum and St. Nicholas Church.

"And, of course, it is impossible not to visit the mystical island of Olkhon, a favorite place not only for tourists, but also for shamans," the experts add.

Next on the list are the Republic of Karelia with the Ruskeala Mountain Park and the filming locations of the film The Dawns Here Are Quiet, the Kaliningrad Region with the Curonian Spit and the Dancing Forest, as well as the Republic of Adygea with the famous Devil's Finger Rock.

Analysts gave the seventh place to the Stavropol Territory.

In October, Pyatigorsk, one of the largest cities in the region, is still warm and beautiful. Lovers of panoramic views should climb Mount Mashuk, and fans of literature and history should go to the places of Mikhail Lermontov.

"Another picturesque attraction of the city is the Proval grotto with turquoise water. Its smell is quite peculiar – don't be surprised. It was here that the enterprising Ostap Bender sold tickets. Today, visitors are greeted by his figure," experts say.

The eighth place in the ranking is occupied by the Nizhny Novgorod region. One of the most interesting destinations here is the village of Bolshoye Boldino, the family estate of the Pushkins.

In the capital of the region, tourists have the opportunity to meet beautiful sunsets on Gremyachaya Mountain and admire the views of the Volga, Oka and the old center of Nizhny Novgorod from the walls of the local Kremlin.

"It's worth spending at least three days here. Then go to one of the most ancient cities in Russia — Gorodets — and walk around the restored merchant houses, in which museums are now open," the representatives of the service summarize.

Earlier, RT, citing representatives of the Tutu.ru travel service, told which observation decks in the Russian regions can be called the most beautiful.
