On the 19th, the first two-day conference on cultural relics and archaeology research was held in Xinzheng, Henan Province, talking about the new future of the development of cultural relics and archaeology, the participating experts suggested interdisciplinary, cross-field, cross-regional collaborative innovation, multi-party collaborative efforts, while respecting history and avoiding excessive entertainment.

At the conference, Xin Lujiang, Deputy Director General of the Department of Archaeology of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage of China, revealed that the scale of China's study tour market has exceeded 100 billion yuan, and archaeological research on cultural relics relying on cultural relics resources has become an important part of it. Henan's cultural relics and archaeological research and exploration practice is in the forefront of the country.

The reporter combed and found that in recent years, riding the east wind of "cultural fever", all parts of China have combined their own characteristics to provide a variety of ways to open archaeological research, and most of them are popular "out of the circle". For example, in Beijing, the Palace Museum launched "I Wash Stones in the Forbidden City - Stone Cultural Relics Cleaning Open Experience Activity"; In Henan, students followed famous archaeologists to "seek commerce", tracing the rise and fall of the Shang dynasty from Anyang to Zhengzhou; In Sichuan, the Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum built a "small golden classroom" to move the teaching classroom to the archaeological site; In Yunnan, the Nannan Institute of Archaeology puts fun first, and young people push the door to the archaeological world through experience and learning.

In China, students are the main group of participants in study trips. Li Xiaoxiao, secretary-general of the Scenic Area Cultural Heritage Protection and Utilization Professional Committee of the China Tourism Scenic Spots Association, said that her team had conducted a survey and analysis on the development of archaeological research in 13 provinces in China, and found that primary and secondary school students accounted for more than 90% of the customers participating in the research.

Talking about the new future of the development of cultural relics and archaeology, Xin Lujiang suggested that starting from opening up more cultural relics archaeological resources, promoting the construction of cultural relics archaeology research bases, encouraging resource linkage and sharing, and extending the research product chain, multiple departments should jointly standardize and promote the high-quality development of cultural relics archaeological research.

Liu Haiwang, president of the Henan Academy of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and secretary-general of the Henan Cultural Relics and Archaeology Research and Development Alliance, believes that under the development trend of diversification, quality and characteristics of cultural relics and archaeology research, it is an inevitable practice for cultural relics archaeology research to establish an expert database and supporting mechanisms for cultural relics and archaeology research, polish in-depth study courses, train a team of research instructors, and build thematic camps.

According to Gao Dalun, dean of the School of Archaeology and Museum of Shanxi University and professor of the Cultural Museum Center of Southern University of Science and Technology, the study of cultural relics and archaeology and classroom teaching are complementary and can help students deepen their understanding of cultural and historical knowledge. However, the development of cultural relics and archaeology courses should respect history, avoid excessive virtualization, and entertainment. (End)
