In Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture, it was found out that "Shine Muscat", which was a gift in return for hometown tax payment, was not locally produced. In principle, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications required that return goods be local products, and the city withdrew them from the return goods because "there were many items and it was not well confirmed."

Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture, handles "Shine Muscat" as a gift in return for the hometown tax payment in FY Reiwa 4 and FY Reiwa 5, and 5,5539 applications were received and shipped in FY Reiwa 10 alone.

In principle, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications requires that return goods be local products, but according to the city, in early October, it was pointed out from the outside that "things that are not made in Isahaya City are return goods."

The city confirmed that all Shine Muscat was produced in another municipality in the prefecture.

In addition, some of these were erroneously labeled as "Isahaya City" on the website where you can donate to the hometown tax payment.

In response to the complaint, the city withdrew Shine Muscat from the return goods and contacted the person who applied for the item labeled "Isahaya City" individually to explain the situation.

A city official said, "There were many items and we were unable to confirm them, so we will thoroughly check the production area and comply with the rules of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications."
