The popular singer, songwriter, author and long-time Allsång på Skansen profile leaves behind classic songs such as Stockholm in my heart, En kväll i juni, Streck ut din arm and Teddybjörnen Fredrikssson.
During the summer, Lasse Berghagen suffered from heart problems and had to cancel his participation in Västervik's song festival. Instead, he was hospitalized.
Lasse Berghagen was sedated for several weeks after the operation, but woke up at the end of September. He later died at the hospital, according to his daughter Malin Berghagen.
Per Andersson, editor of SVT's Kulturnyheterna, remembers Lasse Berghagen with warmth.
"If you talk about Lasse Berghagen as the archetype of popular love, it's really with Allsång på Skansen that he jacked up his career to a new level," he says in SVT's live broadcast.
