Founded in 1939 and hosted by the World Science Fiction Association, the World Science Fiction Convention is the world's largest and most influential international science fiction event. The 2023 Chengdu World Science Fiction Convention is the second time that the World Science Fiction Convention has been held in an Asian city after Yokohama, Japan in 2007.
