Beijing, October 10 (Zhongxin Net) -- Sponsored by the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the China Artists Association, and co-organized by the China Academy of Calligraphy and Painting on the Calligraphy and Painting Channel, the "Ode to Mountains and Rivers - Xuli Freehand Oil Painting Exhibition" recently appeared at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (West Hall).

This exhibition presents the public with 85 new oil paintings and sketches by Xu Li in recent years, from Mount Everest to the black soil of Northeast China, from urban architecture to natural mountains and rivers, north and south of the river, and the four seas of Shenzhou... He uses the unbridled emotions and unique humanistic feelings inspired by the face of real scenes as the lead, and constantly pours out his appreciation and understanding of the great beauty of China.

Xu Li is one of the most representative artists and recognized leaders in contemporary China. He integrates the ontological language characteristics of oil painting art with the techniques of traditional Chinese painting art, absorbs the freehand technique of Chinese ink painting, puts the pen and strokes, draws on the chapter, layout, realm and meaning of traditional landscape painting, and at the same time presents the distinctive language characteristics of oil painting art and the aesthetic interest of modernity in the color setting of the brush.

Jin Shangyi, honorary chairman of the China Artists Association, announced the opening of the exhibition on the same day. Xu Li specially donated his latest oil painting "A Hundred Flowers in Bloom", sending blessings to the National Centre for the Performing Arts to open a new pattern of "one courtyard and three sites" development.
