Hangzhou, October 10 (ZHANG Yuhuan, Guo Tianqi) Recalling the "full" scene of the traditional Chinese medicine cultural experience hall in the main media center during the Asian Games, Xu Li, director of the Tuina Department of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University of Chinese Medicine (Zhejiang Zhongshan Hospital), is still unforgettable. "I can't imagine that so many Chinese and foreign journalists like and affirm TCM Tuina, which makes us TCM people proud."

During the Hangzhou Asian Games, in the Chinese medicine culture experience hall hosted by Zhejiang University of Chinese Medicine, media people from various countries (regions) came every day, among which TCM Tuina was the most popular experience project. Many foreign journalists repeatedly called it "magical", wondering why TCM doctors can relieve their body aches and pains and fatigue with only pushing, pressing and rubbing with their hands. Recently, the reporter walked into Zhejiang Zhongshan Hospital to personally feel and unveil the "mystery" of traditional Chinese medicine Tuina.

"Your left shoulder and neck are a little tense, and your neck is a little arched, which has a lot to do with the usual work with your head down." Walking into the Tuina department consultation room, Xu Li first opened the "consultation mode" for reporters. After some questioning, I saw her swinging and pushing with her thumb at the reporter's neck. According to him, this is called "one-finger Zen pushing", which can directly reach the pain point and has an immediate effect.

Next, Xu Li clenched her fist slightly with her hand and repeatedly did the "rolling back and forth" movement on the reporter's left shoulder and neck. "This is called '?Fa', which can fully relax the muscles, and it is a representative technique of TCM Tuina that is gentle and powerful, both rigid and soft." Xu Li said that among journalists, shoulder and neck pain is the most common problem. "High-intensity work can make journalists often feel dizzy and shoulders and backs swollen, and a certain amount of muscle relaxation is required to eliminate the discomfort."

After completing the above-mentioned "sour" Tuina, the reporter finally experienced the most comfortable "side strike method" - a massage technique that uses the wrist to move the side of the palm to quickly and alternately hit the affected area. As the finishing technique of a set of Tuina treatments, the "side stroke" method can quickly relax the muscles and have a feeling of cutting through the mess with a quick knife.

"It's so comfortable, it's really amazing!" In the face of reporters' praise, Xu Li said that many reporters learned that Tuina is not a simple "massage" after personal experience, and every technique and movement has its own reason.

"In the process of Tuina for journalists, I will also explain to you the medical principles of TCM Tuina, in fact, the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine has become more and more close, and TCM Tuina is inseparable from neurobiology, anatomy, and biomechanics." Xu Li said, "I remember a journalist in Kazakhstan who kept giving a thumbs up after doing Tuina, and after the treatment, he used translation software to communicate with us the principles of TCM Tuina, saying that he would promote our TCM culture after returning to China." ”

She recalled that another journalist from Indonesia rushed to various competition venues every day, working at a fast pace, insomnia symptoms worsened, and came to seek help from doctors. Unexpectedly, during the Tuina treatment, the reporter naturally fell asleep. After waking up, he thanked the doctor again and again and wrote down his feelings in the guest book, marveling at the charm of TCM Tuina techniques.

The reporter learned that the hospital's resident doctors have been stationed in the traditional Chinese medicine cultural experience hall since late August, and the work will continue until the end of the Hangzhou Asian Para Games. Every day, more than 8 people come to book Tuina experience, and doctors go to work at 9 o'clock and fill up the quota for the whole day at 10 o'clock.

In Xu Li's view, behind the "popularity" of TCM Tuina Asian Games, it also represents that TCM culture is receiving more and more attention and recognition. Especially in the Internet era, the charm of TCM is no longer just passed down by word of mouth of the older generation, and many young people are also attracted by the TCM culture of "keeping pace with the times".

In the Chinese Medicine Culture Experience Hall, there is a ring screen projection area, visitors can follow the interactive software to learn the traditional Chinese health exercises eight dan jin, but also learn how to wrap a fragrance and refreshing sachet, recognize acupuncture points for self-care compression... Get up close to Chinese medicine culture in different experience activities.

"It is an inspiration for us TCM practitioners to know and love TCM culture." Xu Li mentioned that how to help more young people improve their sub-health status and do a good job in self-health and health care in daily life is also the purpose of promoting the concept of Chinese medicine.

"Nowadays, the pace of work and life is accelerating, and many people ignore some of the signals sent by the body. In the future, we will continue to do a good job in the promotion of Chinese medicine culture and technology, let Chinese medicine enter schools, communities and other places, popularize simple and effective health tips to more people, and call on everyone to do a good job in self-care and be the first responsible person for their own health. Xu Li said. (End)
