In response to corruption and bid rigging cases surrounding the Tokyo Games, the City of Sapporo, which is reviewing its operations in preparation for the bid to host the 2030 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, has compiled a revised proposal stating that it is desirable that marketing operations such as sponsor selection be carried out by multiple corporate groups rather than one company.

The city of Sapporo, which aims to host the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, is reviewing its operations in response to corruption and bid-rigging cases surrounding the Tokyo Games, and presented a review plan to a review committee made up of experts on March 3.

According to this, in the case surrounding the Tokyo Games, it seems that the system of appointing a specific company as a "dedicated marketing agency" and having it serve as a contact point with companies wishing to sign a sponsorship contract has become a hotbed of fraud. It is desirable that it be done by several groups of companies rather than one.

In addition, the number of directors of the Organizing Committee will be about half that of the Tokyo Games, and the aim is to make about 1% of the members of the Board of Directors women.

The revised draft is expected to be announced as early as this month, based on the opinions expressed on March 50.
