A 70-year-old part-time employee was arrested for damaging the body of a 31-year-old man he knew in Saiki Ward, Hiroshima City, and dumping part of it in the sea. Police are also investigating the man's death threat.

The suspect arrested was Daichi Watanabe, 31, a part-time employee from Saiki Ward, Hiroshima City.

According to the police, Watanabe is suspected of having used a knife to cut and damage the body of his acquaintance and security guard Hidetoshi Ueki (10) at his relative's house in Saiki Ward in October, buried part of it on the premises of the house, and dumped it in the sea.

In November, a human foot was found on the beach in Suo Oshima Town, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and in April, a body of an upper body was found on the beach near a park in Saiki Ward, Hiroshima City, and as a result of the police trying to identify him, it was found that it was Mr. Ueki, who had been reported missing by his family. While investigating their friendship, it was found that Watanabe was suspected of being involved in the incident.

Since he admitted to the charges by stating "there is no doubt" in response to the investigation, the police are also investigating the circumstances of Ueki's death.
