At the Menhakusan Plateau in Yamagata City, the bright orange Kibana Cosmos flowers are in full bloom to the delight of visitors.

In the Menhakusan Plateau, which was originally a ski resort, local residents and others cultivate about 5,80 cosmos trees on a site of about <> hectares of former slopes.

Among them, the early-blooming Kibana Cosmos flowers have been in full bloom since the middle of last month.

Tourists enjoyed taking pictures surrounded by orange flowers.

According to the locals, the flowering was about 10 days earlier than usual due to the extreme heat.

A woman who was eager to take pictures of the cosmos said, "When I came here before, there were a lot of pink cosmos, but it was nice to see orange flowers today."

In addition, a man visiting from Yamagata City said, "The orange cosmos swaying in the autumn breeze was very cute, and I felt a small autumn."

Kibana Cosmos on the Mt. Menhakusan Plateau can be enjoyed throughout this month.
