In March, a 3-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of robbery and injury in an incident in which men broke into an apartment building in Toshima Ward, Tokyo, disguised as a gas check, and robbed more than 100 million yen in cash.

The suspect arrested was Takumi Goto (43), who has no fixed address and is unemployed.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, in March this year, he broke into a room of an apartment building in Higashi-Ikebukuro, Toshima Ward, disguised as a gas check, tied the hands and feet of a man and a woman of Chinese nationality, and robbed them of more than 3 million yen in cash and mobile phones.

In August, four people were arrested, including the driver of the car used to escape, and Goto is believed to be the perpetrator who broke into the room.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, there are other suspected involvement of three Mongolian nationals as perpetrators, one of whom died in a scuffle with the male victim when he broke into the room, and the other two fled to Mongolia a few days after the incident.

The Metropolitan Police Department has obtained arrest warrants for two people who fled abroad, and plans to make international arrangements through ICPO = International Criminal Police Organization in the future.
