On September 9, on the occasion of the eighth "China Charity Day", the 5th "China Charity Award" commendation meeting, the highest government award in the field of public welfare and philanthropy in China, was held in the Great Hall of the People, commending units, individuals and charitable projects that have made outstanding contributions in the field of public welfare and charity. ANTA Group won the "Donation Enterprise Award" for the first time.
Wu Yonghua, Executive Director and Co-CEO of ANTA Group, delivered a speech at the award presentation as a corporate representative. Wu Yonghua said, "The China Charity Award is not only a praise for ANTA Group, but also a great encouragement for private enterprises to actively participate in charity and public welfare undertakings, which is not only an honor, but also a heavy responsibility. We believe that the mission of philanthropy is glorious and the responsibility is heavy, and we are willing to use the power of warmth and love to advocate more social companions, give back to the society with love and good deeds, coexist with the society, and make people's lives better. ”
Up to now, ANTA Group has invested more than 22.<> billion yuan in charity and public welfare, and together with the Hemin Foundation, which was established with a donation of tens of billions by the founder family of the group, it has jointly built the "Five Ones" corporate social responsibility system: a medical assistance program, a sports program to help China, a public welfare plan for physical education, an ecological protection plan and a poverty alleviation plan, with "sports empowerment, healthy China" as the core goal to give back to the society and help realize a better life.
The integration of sports and education promotes rural revitalization
As a part of China's sports industry, ANTA Group has always paid attention to the physical education of the next generation. In 2017, ANTA Group launched the "Thrive Public Welfare Plan", jointly implemented by China Youth Development Foundation and Shanghai True Love Dream Public Welfare Foundation, through a series of public welfare projects in six modules, including ANTA Equipment Package, ANTA Physical Education Class, ANTA Dream Center, ANTA Sports Ground, ANTA Sports Camp, and ANTA Hope Class, to help teenagers in underdeveloped areas of China attend every physical education class, cultivate exercise habits, understand the spirit of sportsmanship, and shape a sound personality.
Up to now, the total funding amount of the project has exceeded 8 million yuan, benefiting 3.31 million teenagers from nearly 15000,576 schools in 5627 provincial-level administrative regions, training 176,36 front-line physical education teachers, donating 15 ANTA Dream Centers and <> ANTA sports fields, and organizing <> ANTA professional sports camps. In the next stage, ANTA Group will continue to develop and improve public welfare solutions for youth sports education and rural sports talent training on the basis of adhering to the integration of sports and education.
Love Sang Zi Support the development of hometown
In December 2021, on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the establishment of the Group, the founder family of ANTA Group established the Hemin Foundation, which will donate 30 billion yuan to devote itself to public welfare practices in the fields of medical assistance, sports, rural revitalization and environmental protection. Among them, in response to the strategic layout of the high-quality development of public hospitals during the "100th Five-Year Plan" period, the Hemin Foundation donated 20 billion yuan to build Fujian Hemin Hospital, Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, which is currently under intensive construction in Jinjiang, and is expected to build a national trauma regional medical center integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, rehabilitation and other functions, and improve the medical service capacity of Fujian and even neighboring provinces.
In addition, since last year, the Hemin Foundation has invested 1 million yuan in five years to carry out two public welfare projects, "Hemin Education Grant" and "Hemin Health" to promote the development of education and health in his hometown. So far, it has helped 750 prospective college students and 300 sick people from disadvantaged families.
Helping the needy and assisting post-disaster reconstruction
In the face of major disasters such as epidemics, floods, and earthquakes, ANTA Group has always donated money and materials as soon as possible to help domestic disaster relief and international humanitarian assistance. Since 2020, in the face of the epidemic and sudden disasters in Henan, Shanxi, Fujian, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and other places, ANTA Group has donated cash and materials worth more than 1 million yuan to support frontline medical workers in fighting the epidemic, as well as emergency rescue and post-disaster reconstruction in disaster-stricken areas. In addition, in February this year, the Group also actively responded to the initiative of the China Charity Federation, carried forward the international humanitarian spirit, and donated 75 million yuan of winter equipment and other materials to the victims of the earthquake-stricken areas in Turkey and Syria to send warmth to the homeless victims.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and established in 2005, the "China Charity Award" aims to recognize individuals, institutions and projects that have made outstanding contributions in the fields of disaster relief, assistance for the elderly, assistance for the disabled, rescue of orphans, relief of the needy, assistance for education, medical assistance, and support for culture, art, environmental protection and other public welfare charities. In 2012, Mr. Ding Hemu, the founder of ANTA Group, won the "Most Caring Individual" at the <>th China Charity Award.
