Investigators who visited the periphery to investigate found that after the case, Henan migrant workers Li Mouwei and Yan Moudong, who were working in Bagong Town, hurriedly left Zezhou County and returned to their hometown of Shenqiu County, Zhoukou City, Henan Province. The investigators rushed to Shenqiu County and found Li Mouwei, who confessed to the crime of robbery and murder, and confessed to committing the crime with Yan Moudong.
Yan Moudong has disappeared, and the task force listed him as an online fugitive for pursuit. Since the launch of this summer's operation, the public security organs at the Jincheng City and Zezhou county levels have stepped up their efforts to tackle tough problems in terms of personnel, technology and other aspects, and have held many meetings to study and analyze the case to compare new and old clues and look for "key puzzle pieces."
In August this year, the special case team went to Dalian City again, and with the cooperation of local public security, launched an investigation and visit to Yan Moudong's relatives and related personnel, educated and guided, focused on the investigation, and summarized and judged the relevant information learned, and finally discovered important intelligence clues that Yan Moudong may be hiding in Jinshui District, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province.
After obtaining this important intelligence clue, the special case team rushed to Zhengzhou City overnight to investigate, and with the assistance of local public security, compared thousands of portraits, and finally determined that the owner of an auto repair shop in Jinshui District of Zhengzhou City was Yan Moudong, who had absconded for 28 years, and lived in a nearby community. The task force rushed to the community to carry out control and arrested Yan Moudong, who was about to leave on a bicycle.
After interrogation, Yan Moudong confessed to the crime of robbery and murder in Bagong Town, Zezhou County 28 years ago.
