La 1 aired the first semifinal of the Summer Grand Prix on Tuesday, August 22. Aguilar de Campoo (Palencia), with the yellow color, was the town that won in this delivery. Therefore, he achieved the pass to the grand final of this edition in 2023. Tineo (Asturias), whose contestants wore the color blue, was eliminated.

The Spaniards overtook the Castilian-Leonese thanks to the Gaviotas malotas, with which they reached 22 points, one more than their opponents. The bowling again turned the standings around, placing Aguilar de Campoo with 23 points and leaving Tineo with 22.

The last challenge of the night, the Dictionary, completely changed the scoreboard. Tineo failed with his two words, so he lost six points and stayed with 16. However, Aguilar de Campoo hit both and reached 29 points.

The emotional outcome of the semifinal

The first semifinal of the Grand Prix ended with the residents of Aguilar de Campoo applauding their opponents and chanting the name of their town, Tineo. The mayor of the Asturian town could not hold back the tears after her defeat.

Ramón García and she starred in a beautiful moment before saying goodbye. The presenter shared: "They are going to allow me to give a couple of very big kisses to Montse, the mayor of Tineo. He was in tears now and it has moved me too."
