Comedian Wahid Bouzidi, revealed by the Jamel Comedy Club, died Sunday at the age of 45 in Morocco, a few days after being struck by a stroke, his press officer told AFP. "Victim of a stroke that occurred Wednesday while he was in Morocco, Wahid Bouzidi died this morning," announced his press officer.

After this stroke, the artist was hospitalized and was in a coma. He had already suffered two strokes in 2021, he told the media Le Courrier de l'Atlas at the time. The actor with a strong build and debonair look was revealed in 2006 by Jamel Debbouze's stand-up show, the Jamel Comedy Club. In January, he launched a new one-man show at the Le République theater in Paris and his tour was to go through the whole France.

Tributes

In cinema, he has been seen in several comedies, including "Case départ", "Neuilly his mother, his mother!", "Nicky Larson and the Perfume of Cupid" or "Superhero in spite of himself". His death sparked many tributes in the entertainment world.

"Wahid, I will keep in mind your kindness, your gentleness, your benevolence and years of laughter," reacted the host and humorist Arthur on the social network X (ex-Twitter). "Wahid, we didn't know each other much but every time we crossed paths I was so happy to see your smile so benevolent and bright," actress Leila Bekhti also said on Instagram.
