A 29-year-old crashed on Saturday during a hike in the Berchtesgadener Land and suffered fatal injuries. According to the police, the woman from Austria was traveling with an acquaintance on the Hochkalter mountain in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden early Saturday morning. According to the information, she slipped for an unknown reason and fell about 300 meters into the depths.

When the rescue workers arrived by helicopter, the 29-year-old was already dead, it said. Her companion was brought to the valley by helicopter and then cared for. The police are investigating how the accident could have happened. There are currently no indications of third-party negligence.

Already on Friday, a 57-year-old woman had crashed and died in the region. The hiker from the Black Forest had slipped on Friday on a paved path – and "then fell 200 meters on the so-called hammer style wall into the depths," said the Berchtesgaden police. The emergency doctor who had flown in was only able to determine her death.
