Barbie's house is not in Malibu, as perhaps we might expect, but in Corcubión, a seaside town between the Rías Baixas and the Costa da Morte. Best of all, it's for rent. This summer, as Mattel's iconic doll makes its debut in theaters around the world, you can spend the holidays in this suite from the 50s. Do you like the color pink? Take two cups.

The film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, which opens this Friday in theaters, is a rosy-tinted manifesto that mocks (almost) everything. The premiere of the year, one of them at least, will stir the Barbie phenomenon all over the map. But in this Galician corner he has been doing it for some time thanks to this town, which we could well call Barbie's hiding place in Galician lands.

According to EscapadaRural, the digital platform specialized in rural tourism, "this accommodation is an authentic retro jewel that will transport you to the rockabilly era and the dresses with flight tight to the waist. Here even Barbie would gasp." The Suite years 50 is a complete rental apartment located in the heart of Corcubión, a municipality declared of Galician tourist interest and historical-artistic site.

Located in the center of town, the house revives without complexes an American aesthetic of the middle of the last century, which fits so well with Barbie: pink sofas, pastel painted walls and bar music machines. For its decoration, with appliances with classic aesthetics, along with furniture and colorful walls, it could well be one of the scenarios of the film directed by Gerwig.

"Bathe in our bathtub listening to jazz or blues on the Jukebox. Light the wood burning fireplace, relax and then visit Corcubión and the Costa da Morte", encourage the traveler the owners of the house, with capacity to accommodate three people.

Corcubión is a passing village on the Camino de Santiago to Fisterra and Muxía. Alleys, pazos and emblazoned houses draw its framework. From Barbie's house, strolling along the promenade of the village, you quickly reach the quiet beach of Quenxe, about 500 meters away. We are in the northernmost estuary of all the Galician Rías Baixas, already very close to the "end of the world". By car, about 20 kilometers away we find the village of Fisterra and a little further, the Lighthouse From here we enter the coast of rough ocean and rough waters: Costa da Morte. Barbie would be stunned.
