Beijing, June 6 (Zhongxin.com) -- The Central Chinese Orchestra's newly created folk concert "Ode to Huang Zhong Da Lu" was performed at the Concert Hall of the National Centre for the Performing Arts on the evening of June 23 and 6.

Among the various sequences of traditional Chinese culture, there is a set of systems familiar to the music industry, that is, the twelve rhythms of Lü pitch sequence headed by "Huang Zhong", namely: Huang Zhong, Da Lv, Tai Tuan, Jiazhong, Gu Wash, Zhong Lv, Rui Bin, Lin Zhong, Yi Ze, Nan Lv, Wu Shot, Ying Zhong.

Taking this as a symbol of inspiration and creative origin, the Central Chinese Orchestra has created this folk concert that not only continues the tradition but also creates a new style, with twelve rhythms corresponding to twelve classic and newly created repertoire, and guides the audience to this ancient music system with multiple presentation forms such as solo, ensemble, concerto, vocal music, chanting, and dance.

The concert creates a listening space with unique oriental aesthetics in the NCPA Concert Hall. The Chinese style scene designed and produced by the stage art team of the National Theatre of China amazed everyone with the opening of the concert - the Biwa roof ridge and the soft gauze Xuan window laid out a Chinese style and elegant ancient style world, the furnishings full of Chinese elements and the LED phantom light screen extending to the audience seats are intertwined, the dazzling chime arranger stands in the center of the stage, and the screens with oriental aesthetic characteristics stand on both sides of the stage.

The concert has realized the linkage of five "national teams", of which three "national captains" - Zhao Cong, director of the Central Chinese Orchestra, as the artistic director, Tian Qinxin, president of the National Theatre of China, as the general director, and Wu Weishan, director of the National Art Museum of China, personally wrote an inscription for the concert. The concert was also supported by the China Opera and Dance Theater, which sent dance director Li Shibo and dancers Gao Min and Wu Ao to dance for the concert; Ruan Yuqun, a famous soprano singer of the Central Opera House, and Li Shuang, a tenor, sang the finale song "Huang Zhong Da Lu".

The famous composer Hao Wei took the opening part of the composition, the Yellow Bell Eight-Tone Ensemble "Ode", which has a sense of ritual and historical heaviness, and the gold, stone, earth, silk and wood bamboo once again emits the leisurely sound from ancient China in the hands of the performers.

Pipa and Percussion "Golden Iron Horse" is adapted from the most representative classic songs of Chinese music "Ambush on Ten Sides" and "Overlord Unloading", Zhao Cong, director and principal pipa player of the Central Chinese Orchestra, and four pipa players and several percussionists took the stage.

The Nanlu National Orchestra "Silk Road" composed by composer Jiang Ying is a new classic of national music created in recent years, and this new arrangement by the composer highlights the cheerful and enthusiastic Silk Road music style. Five musical instruments from the Silk Roads, including Dutar, Aycze, Pluck, Sattar and Revaf, appeared in turn.

Zhao Cong, director of the Central Chinese Orchestra, said that in this concert, starting with the music of "eight tones", under the series of "Twelve Rhythms", music was used to sort out the historical context of China, deconstructing and reconstructing classic works with contemporary music concepts, constructing an oriental music appreciation space with new stage techniques, interpreting the openness, inclusiveness and eclecticism of Chinese civilization with works, and finally playing the "Yellow Bell Da Lu" in the new era with the sound of harmony and beauty, and singing the beautiful movement of the community with a shared future for mankind.
