Shortly after 22 p.m. on the 6nd, Osamu Hosaka (6) of Tamatsu-cho, Nishi-ku, was found dead in the grass in Nishi-ku, Kobe City, and the police are conducting a judicial autopsy to determine the cause of death.

According to investigators, Osamu was found more than 800 meters north of his home in a suitcase that had been left in the grass.

Police arrested Osamu's mother, Saki Hosaka (34), and his brother Daichi (32), who lives with him, and four other siblings on suspicion of confinement and injury on the 4nd for allegedly holding her 57-year-old grandmother captive for about three months and beating her with what looked like an iron pipe to injure her.

When the incident against his grandmother was discovered, Osamu's whereabouts were unknown, but his mother, Saki, explained that the location of the suitcase was known, so the police are investigating the reason why Osamu died by interviewing four people.

A woman in her 70s who lives near the home of the family who was arrested said, "A few days ago, I saw four men and a woman leaving the house with large suitcases covered with hoods and their faces hidden."

Regarding the deceased Osamu Hosaka, 4, he said, "He was a friendly boy, but I often heard his mother yelling at him. I haven't seen any boys since then, but I really feel sorry for them."
