Full parks and bathing lakes, well-attended outdoor pools and cafés: In view of the beautiful summer weather, people in large parts of Germany are drawn outdoors on Saturday. "People are enjoying the weather," said a spokesman for the police in Münster. Many are on bicycles and the ice cream parlors in the city are full. So far, however, there have been no problems with the police.

On Saturday, the 30-degree mark will be cracked in many places, said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) in Essen. In the Sauerland, individual thunderstorms are possible. Otherwise, there are only a few source clouds. It is particularly hot in the Rhineland with up to 32 degrees. Temperatures of more than 30 degrees are also expected in Berlin and Brandenburg for Saturday, and around this value in other federal states.

Up to 33 degrees on Sunday

On Sunday, according to the DWD, showers are only possible in the alpine region. "With often cloudless skies, the temperature in the west rises locally up to 33 degrees," said Florian Bilgeri of the DWD. In the night to Monday, at low temperatures of 6 to 16 degrees, "good ventilation can be done".

The summer weather with lots of sunshine will remain in Germany at the start of the new week. At the same time, the risk of forest fires is likely to increase further for the time being, as can be seen from the forest fire danger index of the German Weather Service in Offenbach.

Monday is also expected to remain bright and dry in many places, with highs between 23 degrees in the southern foothills of the Alps and 31 degrees in the Lower Rhine. In addition, a weak to moderate wind blows from the east.

Tuesday will again bring a lot of sunshine and will be dry in many places. Between the Bavarian Forest and the Ore Mountains, clouds will appear in the afternoon, and there may be showers. Temperatures reach 25 to 30 degrees in the western half and 23 to 26 degrees in the eastern half with weak to moderate northeasterly winds.
