• United Kingdom 'Gladiator' breaks a spear in defense of King Charles III against republicanism in Australia

Action movies have stunts that are very complicated to record and have specialists who are dedicated to it. But sometimes you can't control all the factors and accidents happen. This is what happened in the filming of 'Gladiator 2' in Morocco, where an accident left at least six injured by burns.

The incident, which occurred last Wednesday, caused a total of six professionals to end up receiving medical treatment, four of whom remain hospitalized, according to the statement that Paramount Pictures -studio responsible for this film- sent to the US press.

The injuries of the staff of 'Gladiator', apparently actors specializing in risk scenes, "did not endanger their lives" and their health condition is "stable".

"The welfare of the cast and crew is of the utmost importance to us, and we have strict health and safety procedures in place throughout our productions," a Paraomunt spokesperson said in a statement.

Likewise, no member of the main cast was injured – among which are Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington or Connie Nielsen – so the production has not announced that it will interrupt its recordings.

In fact, the release date has not been changed either and is scheduled to be distributed internationally in theaters on November 22, 2024.

The second part of 'Gladiator' aspires to reap the same success as the original film in 2000 when, also directed by Ridley Scott with David Scarpa as screenwriter, managed to establish itself as one of the highest grossing films of the season and won the Oscar for best actor to its protagonist, Russel Crowe.
