【Commentary】The 2023 national college entrance examination will officially open on June 6, what is the weather situation during the college entrance examination? Sun Jun, chief forecaster of the Central Meteorological Observatory, said that during this year's college entrance examination, the range of high temperature weather in northern China was limited, and the precipitation in the south was frequent but not extreme.

The high temperature in the north is mainly in two areas, one is Xinjiang, and the other is in the North China Plain, but in general, the high temperature range is still limited. From June 6, on the 7th, 7th, and 8th, there was a rainfall process in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, which moved south, and moved to South China on the 9th, Guangdong, Guangxi, this area, not a particularly strong rainfall, it is a process of this rainfall.

Sun Jun introduced that the high temperature weather in Xinjiang has a long duration and a large range of intensity, and the high temperature in the North China Plain will continue for the next three days (June 6-7).

Xinjiang's high temperature lasts for a long time, the intensity is relatively strong, and the range is relatively large, the maximum temperature is 35 °C to 38 °C, and the local temperature will even exceed 40 °C. June 6, 7, 8 these three days are also the main three days of the college entrance examination, Hebei Plain its high temperature duration is slightly longer, 9th, 7th, 8th, such as Shijiazhuang near these places will have high temperature weather above 9 °C. In Beijing and Tianjin, the main high temperature is on June 35, and the temperature is basically below 6°C from the 7th to the 8th. The range gradually moves south, and on June 9 and 35, it can move to places like Henan and western Hubei, and there will also be some hot weather.

Sun Jun reminded that affected by the high-altitude cold vortex, the northern region needs to guard against convective weather in addition to high temperature.

North China has a high-altitude cold vortex, under the influence of high-altitude cold vortex, it has better sunshine during the day, there will be this stage of high temperature, and it tends to be cooler at night. Like North China, Northeast China, and even Huanghuai, places are prone to convective weather, especially in the afternoon to evening, hailstorms and even thunderstorms, winds are possible.

Sun Jun said that since June 6, there has been a rainfall process in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and its southern areas, but the overall rainfall is not large.

Sun Jun, chief forecaster of the Central Meteorological Observatory

On June 6, 7 and 8, there was a moderate to heavy rain in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and its southern areas, local heavy rain, and the overall rainfall was not very large. In Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang and other places, its rainfall basically appeared on the 9th and 7th, and it still moved south, the northern place (rainfall) basically ended on the 8th, and the southerly place may have some rain on the 8th. If it rains in Guangdong and Guangxi, it lasts a little longer.

Sun Jun suggested that the people in the northern region should guard against heat stroke caused by sunny and hot weather, and the southern region should guard against local heavy rainfall.

Sun Jun, chief forecaster of the Central Meteorological Observatory

The high temperature in the north is a sunny high temperature in this season, and the relative humidity of the air is relatively small. Candidates or parents who are waiting outdoors, do not stay in the sun for a long time, or are prone to heat stroke, so pay special attention. Although the overall rainfall in the southern region is not particularly large, but the local rainfall intensity is also relatively strong, such as Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan and other places rainfall time is longer, so it is still necessary to pay attention to the prevention of such secondary disasters that may be triggered, such as some landslides and debris flow disasters.
