It is a marriage matching service that utilizes AI = artificial intelligence that Shiga Prefecture started last fall, and two couples decided to get married by last month, and the person in charge of the prefecture said, "I am surprised that it led to marriage very quickly, and I would like to continue to support marriage in the future."

Shiga Prefecture's marriage matching service "Shigayui," which was launched in October last year as part of measures to address the declining birthrate, uses AI to suggest compatible partners when you answer questions about 10 values, such as activities and thoughts you want to prioritize, and behaviors you don't want your marriage partner to have.

According to Shiga Prefecture, by the 112th of last month, two couples, both living in the prefecture, had decided to get married,

one couple in their 25s
and one
couple in their 20s.

Both couples decided to get married about three months after they started dating, so Shiga Prefecture decided to give them congratulatory gifts.

As of the end of last month, 1 people had registered as members of Shigayui, and 30 couples have developed into relationships so far through AI matching.

Mayu Komori, Chief Director of the Shiga Prefecture Children's Future Strategy Office, said, "While there are statistics that it takes two to three years from dating to marriage, I am surprised that AI matching leads to marriage very quickly.
