Through a statement, the AESAN, under the Ministry of Consumption, has asked people who have at home products 'Tofu Spinacia' of the Taifun brand to "refrain from consuming them".
This is because the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has reported the presence of metal fragments in two batches (254, 02/06/2023; 274, 22/06/2023) of this product.
According to information from the AESAN, the initial distribution has been to the autonomous communities of Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, the Balearic Islands, Cantabria, Catalonia, Castilla y León, Valencia, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid and the Basque Country, although "it is not ruled out" that there may be redistributions to other autonomous communities.
This information has been transferred to the competent authorities of the autonomous communities through the Coordinated System for the Rapid Exchange of Information (SCIRI), in order to verify the withdrawal of the affected products from the marketing channels. The initial alert has been given by Germany.
