His wife, Kayoko Ikeuchi (61), said, "I was originally planning to go to collect bamboo shoots with my colleagues on the 26th, and I was looking forward to making bamboo shoot soup.

"I used to practice drums at home, but I really miss hearing the drums anymore," he said.
