Two men were killed in a crash of an ultralight aircraft in Baden-Württemberg. The cause of the crash at Linkenheim-Hochstetten in the district of Karlsruhe is still unclear, police said on Monday night.

The two pilots were 44 and 58 years old. According to the police, the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation was called in after the incident on Sunday. The Karlsruhe Criminal Investigation Department will take over the investigation. For this, debris from the aircraft was also confiscated.

With the help of a helicopter, the crash site was found late Sunday evening. According to SWR, the recovery of the wreck will take place in the course of the day.
