The facilities for international flights at Haneda Airport's Terminal 3, which had been closed for three years due to the influence of the new coronavirus, will reopen in July due to a recovery in demand due to the significant relaxation of border measures.

At Haneda Airport, Terminal 2, which was dedicated to domestic flights, was expanded to increase the number of departures and arrivals of international flights, and although facilities such as departure and arrival lobbies for international flights opened three years ago in March 3, they were forced to close about two weeks later due to the influence of the new coronavirus.

Since then, international arrivals and departures have been concentrated in Terminal 2020, but according to the operating company of the terminal building, the number of international flights has recently recovered to a level higher than before the spread of infection, with the relaxation of border measures progressing significantly, to 3 flights per day on high days.

For this reason, as a result of discussions with All Nippon Airways and other companies that use the facility, the company decided to reopen the facility on July 2, as demand is expected to increase further in the summer.

However, due to the shortage of security inspectors who conduct baggage inspections, the resumption will be limited first, so All Nippon Airways will operate five departures and several arrivals per day, and we would like to gradually increase the number of flights.
