As generative AI that automatically creates sentences and images, such as ChatGPT, is rapidly spreading, the project team in Tokyo has begun to specifically verify whether it can be used in the business of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

While the spread of generative AI such as ChatGPT is rapidly progressing, there are concerns about risks such as information leakage and invasion of privacy.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has established a project team to specifically verify generative AI using ChatGPT, believing that it has the potential to be used in business.

On the 18th, when we first started using it, about 10 members of the team gathered and first confirmed the precautions for use, such as not handling confidential information.

After this, when I asked if there were any local governments that formulated guidelines for digital services similar to those of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Yokohama City and others answered, and the members exchanged opinions such as the need to devise ways to ask questions while confirming that the answers were accurate.

The team would like to accelerate the study, and Mr. Ozeki, Director of Planning and Coordination of the Digital Services Bureau, who leads the team, said, "It will be difficult for the government to use it unless we clear legal issues such as copyright and information accuracy issues.

Governor Koike: "We will consider including rules for use"

At a press conference, Governor Koike of Tokyo stated, "In addition to 'how to utilize it in business' and 'what are the problems?', there are various possibilities in terms of streamlining routine operations, and we would like to further consider the rules for use."
