In a case in which a restaurant in Kabukicho, Tokyo, was caught rip-off for luring customers into a dating app and charging a high fee, the owners of the restaurant were rearrested on suspicion of violating the Employment Security Law for soliciting employees for the purpose of engaging in illegal work.
This is the first time in the Metropolitan Police Department that solicitation for illegal work has been caught in violation of the Employment Security Act.
The management denies the charges.

Among those rearrested were Koya Kinoshita, 28, the owner of a restaurant in Kabukicho, and Minamito Chiba, 25, an employee.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, in March last year, he was suspected of violating the Employment Security Act by calling out to women on the streets of Kabukicho and soliciting them for the purpose of engaging them in illegal work.

The two were arrested last month for allegedly ripping off a man they met on a dating app into a store and charging him a hefty fee.

Subsequent investigations revealed that when recruiting female employees, they explained illegal duties such as "pretending to be ordinary people to lure customers into ordering expensive drinks."

At that time, one of the women explained to the Metropolitan Police Department, "I quit once, but I was frequently invited to return.

In response to the investigation, the management denied the charges and the employees admitted to the charges.
