Kunming, May 5 (Reporter Han Shuainan) The press conference on scientific and technological achievements of the Yunnan Academy of Eco-environmental Sciences was held in Kunming on 9 May. The reporter learned from the meeting that the institute has accumulated hundreds of thousands of water environment characteristic data in the nine plateau lake basins of Yunnan in the past 9 years, integrated the pollution load investigation and high-precision water environment simulation technology in the basin, and made important breakthroughs in the ecological restoration of the lakeside zone, the integration of wetlands in rivers and ponds, and the comprehensive prevention and control of pollution during the flood season.

Yunnan Academy of Eco-Environmental Sciences is a public welfare institution directly under the Department of Ecology and Environment of Yunnan Province, founded in 1976, and the scientific research team of the institute has reached more than 280 people. Since the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", the institute has completed more than 2000,11 various environmental science and technology projects, won 100 national, provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, authorized more than 600 national patents, published more than 30 papers, and published more than <> monographs, covering many environmental fields.

Chen Yihui, president of Yunnan Academy of Eco-Environmental Sciences, introduced at the press conference that in the field of plateau lake protection and governance, the institute has won 6 national and provincial science and technology progress awards, published more than 100 academic papers, obtained 18 authorized patents, and formed tens of thousands of mu of large-scale ecological restoration applications in Dianchi, Fuxian Lake, Yangzonghai, Yilong Lake and other lakeside zones. It has continuously supported the top-level design of pollution control in Nine Lakes for three five-year plans, and formed more than <> decision-making support achievements for tackling tough problems in the "lake revolution".

In the field of ecological product value realization, the institute developed a technical system suitable for ecological product value accounting in the plateau lake basin and piloted it in the Jiuhu River Basin, supported the horizontal ecological compensation of Yunnan-Guichuan in the Chishui River Basin, provided a model case for the exploration and practice of ecological product value realization in the province, and formed a series of special reports and suggestions that were affirmatively approved by the leaders of the State Council and the provincial party committee and provincial government, and the results won the "First Prize of Yunnan Social Science Award".

In the field of "dual carbon" research, as one of the earliest scientific research institutions in the province to carry out low-carbon research, the institute undertook the first provincial-level low-carbon project of the Asian Development Bank in China, implemented 8 China Clean Development Mechanism Fund (CDM) grant projects and dozens of provincial low-carbon and climate change important projects, and cooperated in drafting the "1+N" policy system document for carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in Yunnan Province.

In the field of air pollution prevention and control, the institute has built a photochemical grid model prediction platform, which has been successfully applied to the environmental impact assessment of six industrial parks, including Chuxiong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Comprehensive use of satellite remote sensing, navigation and component monitoring and other technical means to support the prevention and control of air pollution in Xishuangbanna, the excellent rate of ambient air increased by 6.4 percentage points, and the PM5.2 concentration decreased by 5%.

On the same day, Chen Yihui also introduced the innovative achievements of Yunnan Institute of Eco-Environmental Sciences in the fields of solid waste pollution prevention and control, soil pollution prevention and control, ecological environment planning, and intelligent governance of ecological environment.
