Members of the Kinshasa government on Tuesday visited Nyamukubi and Bushushu, villages devastated by floods that killed more than 400 people in South Kivu, eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, where they brought coffins and aid to those affected. More than 5 500 people are still missing.

On the 25th day of fighting in Khartoum and the rest of Sudan, the exodus of civilians accelerated with more than 700,000 people displaced, twice as many as a week ago, according to the UN. The conflict has already left more than 750 dead and 5,000 wounded. At least 150,000 people have fled Sudan since the fighting began. About 30,000 people have already crossed the Chadian border. In Benin, a hundred artisans are undergoing training to prepare to welcome the 26 works of royal treasures returned by the France in 2021. They should in 5 years return to their original location in the city of Abomey, seat of the ancient kingdom of Danxomè. These workers train to learn the proper restoration techniques of royal palaces, in the same area where the Museum that will host cultural property will be created.
